Yahoo messenger was everyone’s choice which would allow people to interact and send messages instantly for free. Now this service became very popular because it would allow people to connect with their peers.  A long video chit chat was never an issue. One would express their emotions with emoticons and it was fun. Distance didn’t really matter at that time it felt like everyone was near.

But sadly, the service was  shut down back in July 17 in 2018 and it was rather replaced by a newbie by the name squirrel messaging app that was available to the public when the messenger service stopped .

The best part was you were not supposed to mention your personal details so that made it even more interesting as disclosing the same to a group of people might turn out risky. So generally people were there to make new friends .

But with the advancement of technology, we have come across platforms that are Yahoo chat room alternatives, there is Facebook Messenger/skype/WhatsApp and what not. This work is similar to Yahoo chat rooms and the best part is it comes with exciting features. Text and snaps go hand in hand. One can even share location and important files via this media as it is completely safe. These alternatives are the newest form of Yahoo chat rooms 2020. During this lockdown when everyone is locked inside this is the best way to stay connected with each other.
